Her grandparents operated the East Texas Jamboree at Johnny Morrison’s Hay Barn in the 1960s. One of her treasured heirlooms is an old book of artist contracts from The Haybarn including music industry greats, Bill Monroe, Faron Young, Bob Wills, Brenda Lee, Connie Smith and Loretta Lynn to name a few. Her father, Kent Morrison, played lead guitar at the Jamboree and had the oppportunity to go on the road with Barbara Mandrell as one of her original band members. This heritage gave Rhonda an appreciation for all kinds of music and the inspiration to pursue her personal and professional goals with enthusiasm and determination.

As Miss Texas 1991, Rhonda cherished her once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel the U.S., an experience which gave her the ability to meet and relate to people from all walks of life. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communication, she put her business savvy and strong communication skills to work as the Vice President of Career Development for a major real estate firm and as a marketing consultant. Rhonda’s talents led her to a position with a real estate marketing firm, working with the nation’s top real estate professionals on innovative marketing systems.
